End Times For
those unfamiliar, “End Times” is Christian-ese
for all topics related to what’s going to happen at the end of the
world. Usually the focus is on
things called the tribulation, the rapture, and the “millennial
reign”. I
plan to get back on here and write quite a bit on this topic, but for now I’d like to simply point to another resource… Dr. Kent Hovind
has added end times theology to his ministry. It now encompasses creation,
the flood, and end-times. I
highly recommend getting his book, which is available as a digital download
(PDF), and a physical copy. They can both be purchased. Digital

my understanding of the Bible differs from many other Christians is I see the Bible teach what’s called a
“post-tribulation rapture”.
It’s pretty clear to me from Matthew
24:29-31, and even more clear if you read all of Matthew 24. Here’s
the excerpt from vs 29-31: 29 Immediately
after the tribulation of those days shall the
sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall
fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear
the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the
earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one
end of heaven to the other. You
can see the order of operations is 1) Tribulation (vs 29) 2) Seeing Jesus in coming in the clouds (vs 30) 3) The Rapture occurs (vs 31) …but
for now, please enjoy Kent Hovind’s “What On
Earth” series! |
This is the right
frame. I'm not sure what I'll do with it
right now, but it seems like it could come in handy for something. |
